“Mmmmmm…bacon.” – Homer Simpson
Forget about bacon and eggs. We just whipped up a bacon and mushroom recipe—and boy is it good. Throw in some pasta, garlic and fresh thyme and you have a meal fit for a king. Or at least for Homer Simpson!
Directions:
- In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil and cook bacon until crispy and lightly browned. Crumble bacon and set aside.
- In the same pan sautee garlic and onions for 3 minutes or until onions are translucent.
- Add mushrooms and thyme and sautee for another 3 minutes.
- Add pasta and bacon and toss thoroughly. If the pasta seems dry stir in some warm pasta water.
- Add grated Parmesan, cracked black pepper and salt to taste.
Your family will be begging for this yummy creation night after night. Pasta with Crispy Bacon and Garlic FunGuy Mushrooms goes great with a green salad tossed with balsamic vinaigrette and a baguette.
