- Ingredients:
- 8oz package of whole FunGuy white button mushrooms
- ¼ cup and 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon fresh oregano, minced
- ¼ teaspoon fresh thyme, minced
- ¼ teaspoon fresh basil, minced
- Pinch of coarse salt
- 1 fresh baguette or fresh whole loaf bread
With the unbearable heat no one needs a huge hefty meal. A fresh salad, a cold drink and something easy to round it all off with will do!
This recipe for garlic laden, mushroom filled, herb saturated olive oil is just the thing. So grab a loaf of fresh crusty bread and soak up a bit of FunGuy infused olive oil!
DIRECTIONS:
- Brush off any debris from the FunGuy mushrooms with a damp cloth and trim the ends. Cut 2 or 3 mushrooms into thin slices and set aside. Mince the rest of the mushrooms to approximately the same size as the garlic.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and the chopped mushrooms and sauté for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add in the mushroom slices and cook an additional minute, or until lightly browned.
- Transfer the cooked mushrooms and garlic to a paper towel to drain of excess oil.
- Place the garlic and mushrooms into a shallow bowl and add in the oregano, thyme, basil and salt. Pour the rest of the olive oil on top and stir just to combine.
- Serve with the fresh bread and allow it to soak up all that delicious mushroom and garlic herb goodness!
