Classic Italian pasta meets Japanese flavors in this week’s FunGuy recipe!
We’ve combined miso with butter to make a quick umami packed sauce to mix with sautéed mushrooms before being tossed with thick strands of tagliatelle pasta.
This dish is so easy and tasty, it’s sure to become a weekday favorite!
DIRECTIONS:
- Bring a pot of water and the salt to a boil over high heat. Add the tagliatelle to the pot and let it cook 7-9 minutes, or until tender. Reserve a ladle of the pasta water and drain the pasta of any excess.
- Heat the sesame oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and let it cook 1 minute. Add the FunGuy mushrooms and sauté 3-4 minutes or until lightly browned. Add the butter to the pan and let it melt. Next, stir in the miso paste, and add a little of the reserved pasta water to the pan and stir again to thin the sauce. Taste and season with the soy sauce if needed.
- Transfer the tagliatelle pasta to the pan and toss well to coat and evenly distribute the mushrooms throughout.
- Top the miso butter pasta and mushrooms with the green onions and serve immediately.
Have a Fun meal!
