- Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 whole bream fish, scaled and gutted (or other white fish)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 8oz package of sliced FunGuy white button mushrooms
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 4 lemon slices
- 1 pinch of salt
- Fresh parsley
FunGuy has a bream! To make mushrooms and fish come together for a delicious, healthy and quick meal. One that’s full of buttery, lemony, garlicky goodness that can pair with anything from mashed potatoes to fresh green salad.
Best of all this sauce is so versatile that it can be added to those potatoes, or spooned over some chicken breasts as well!
DIRECTIONS:
- Rub the olive oil on a grill pan or grill with a paper towel. Place the pan over high heat and allow the pan to get hot.
- Season the fish with a sprinkling of salt on each side and some garlic slices inserted into the middle, reserving most of the garlic for the sauce.
- Once the pan or grill is hot, lay the fish onto it and allow to cook 5-7 minutes on each side or until the skin is crisp and the flesh flakes with a fork and is opaque. Remove the fish from the heat.
- While the fish is grilling, make the sauce!
- Melt the butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. Add in the garlic slices and allow to cook 1 -2 minutes or until the garlic is soft. Add in the FunGuy mushrooms and lemon juice and stir to combine. Allow the mushrooms to cook about 5 minutes. Season the mushroom sauce with salt and add the lemon slices. Turn off the heat and spoon the mushroom sauce over the fish.
- Sprinkle fresh parsley on top and serve immediately.
If sea bream isn’t available, this is still excellent on any white fish such as fresh cod, haddock or hake!
Have a Fun meal!
