- 8oz package of whole FunGuy white button mushrooms
- ½ pound ground beef
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- ¼ cup chopped bell pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¾ cup ketchup
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- pinch salt
- fresh ground pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
Oh Joe, we don’t know who you are or where you came from, but boy are we happy you were sloppy enough to make a sandwich. A sandwich so loved for it’s messy, lightly sweet tomato infused filling that even the pickiest of kids love it, not to mention all the FunGuys do too!
DIRECTIONS:
- Gently brush off any dirt or debris from the FunGuy mushrooms with a damp cloth. Trim the ends with a knife. Chop the mushrooms on the cutting board and set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add in the ground beef. Break up the meat with a wooden spoon and allow to brown, stirring occasionally so it doesn’t stick. Toss in the chopped mushrooms, onion and bell pepper and saute until tender.
- Once everything is tender, stir in the garlic powder, ketchup and brown sugar; mix well. Reduce heat to medium low and allow to simmer about 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper 5 minutes before done.
- Serve on top of hamburger buns with either a healthy side salad or some yummy French fries!
Have a Fun Sloppy meal!
