- INGREDIENTS:
- 16 oz store bought pizza dough
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 ounces, sliced FunGuy White Button Mushrooms
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 cup whole milk
- ½ cup shredded parmesan
- pinch of nutmeg
- black pepper to taste
You will love this ooey, gooey, creamy pizza topped with FunGuy Mushrooms. Instead of the classic marinara sauce, we’ve substituted a creamy Parmesan concoction that is smooth and slightly nutty (like us!). It’s a perfect complement to earthy and robust mushrooms and yummy, melted mozzarella.
Directions:
- Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.
- Bring pizza dough to room temperature.
- Stretch and roll out pizza dough until it’s a 14” circle (for individual pizzas, cut dough into 4 pieces and stretch each quarter out individually). Place on a greased baking sheet.
- In a medium skillet, melt butter. Add flour and whisk thoroughly, cook for 2 minutes. On medium heat, slowly add milk and whisk until it is completely combined with butter/flour mixture.
- Simmer for 5 minutes. Add Parmesan, nutmeg and pepper, mix completely – set aside.
- Spread sauce over crust and divide and sprinkle cheese evenly over pizza. Place desired amount (lots!) of mushrooms on top.
- Place baking sheet in middle of the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and brown on top.
Have a fun meal!
