- Ingredients:

- 2oz brie cheese
Need a relaxed lazy weekend meal during this busy time of year? How about a flaky savory tart made with browned mushrooms, sweet caramelized onions, thin slices of autumn pear, and bits of melted sharp brie cheese? This is a tart that’s rich in flavor, but won’t take up your precious relaxation time slaving away in the kitchen.
A recipe that any FunGuy would approve for a lazy weekend!
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- Line a tart or pie tin with the pie crust pastry and trim the edges. With a fork, poke a few holes around the bottom of the pastry and set aside.
- Heat the oil in a skillet over low heat. Add in the onion slices, season with a pinch of salt and allow them to cook 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally to keep it from sticking to the bottom of the pan. If the onions do stick to the pan, add water or vegetable broth 2 tablespoons at a time just to help loosen the stuck bits and scrape them from the bottom with a wooden spoon.
- Once the onions have become dark brown and soft, remove them from the heat.
- Spread the onions around the bottom of the tart and layer with the sliced FunGuy mushrooms and pear slices. Top the tart with the brie cheese, broken into little bits and spread around the top of the tart.
- Place the tart in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the brie has melted and the pastry is lightly browned around the edges.
- Allow the tart to cool 5 minutes before serving.
Have a Fun meal!
