- INGREDIENTS:
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 1 ¼ pounds FunGuy mushrooms, sliced
- 1 large egg yolk, beaten
- 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon dried tarragon
- ¼ teaspoon dried dill
- 1 Cup half and half (or milk)
- ½ Cup dry white wine
Here’s another great recipe for mushroom gravy: perfect over beans, peas, or pretty much everything else.
DIRECTIONS:
- Sauté the onions in the butter over medium-high heat until they are transparent, then add the sliced FunGuy mushrooms.
- After evaporating almost all the mushrooms’ liquid, stir in the beaten yolk, pepper, salt, and herbs. Reduce the heat to medium.
- Slowly add the cream, stirring with a wooden spoon until slightly thickened.
- Gradually add the wine and heat thoroughly.
- Serve over vegetables or in a gravy boat on the side. If your gravy boat is already full of gravy, then use your sauce boat. If your sauce boat is already full of sauce, then use your rear admiral’s pontoon boat. What, you don’t have an armada of sauce boats?!
Have a fun meal!
