• Ingredients:
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 8oz package of sliced FunGuy white button mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup shredded sharp white cheddar
  • Black pepper
  • Salt

Every FunGuy needs a super quick meal option that can be done in fewer than 10 minutes. Even better if it can work for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or even a snack! 

A recipe like this quick grilled cheese toast made in the broiler will tick every one of those boxes with a couple handfuls of FunGuy mushrooms, slices of fresh tomato, and a cheesy sprinkle of cheddar melted on top.

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Move the oven rack to the highest slot in your oven and set it to broil. 
  2. Lightly toast the bread in a toaster. 
  3. While the toast browns, prepare the tomatoes by slicing them and getting the other ingredients ready to use. 
  4. Take the toasts out and place them on a baking sheet and spread the butter on each slice only on one side. Top each slice of bread with a couple slices of tomato, FunGuy mushrooms, and cheddar cheese. Season each slice with black pepper and a sprinkle of salt.
  5. Put the toasts into the oven and allow them to cook about 3-4 minutes or until the tomato has slightly wilted around the edges and the cheese has melted on top. 
  6. Allow the toasts to cool a couple minutes before serving!
