- INGREDIENTS:
- 8 oz package of white button FunGuy Mushrooms
- 1½ lbs beef sirloin
- 2 medium sized onions
- 1 large bell pepper
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup honey
- ½ cup red wine
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 teaspoon oregano
Don’t know about you, but we’re ready for grilling season!
Those smokey smells of grilled meat and veggies have been invading our minds all month long, so you know what? Let’s grill it up today with some kabobs. Sweet and tangy red wine and honey marinated kabobs with with beef, bell peppers, onions, and FunGuy mushrooms. Here we go!
Tip: If you don’t have a grill, this can easily be made in a heavy skillet or grill pan on the stove.
DIRECTIONS:
- Cut steak into 1-inch cubes and place in a large bowl. Quarter mushrooms and onions; add them to the steak cubes. Cut bell pepper into 1 inch pieces and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, honey, red wine, minced garlic, salt and oregano.
- Pour mixture over beef, onions and mushrooms; cover and allow to marinate 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the on high grill or start the coals outside while waiting for everything to marinate.
- When ready to make the kabobs, alternate bell pepper, steak, onion, and mushrooms on skewers. Don’t pack them too tightly together.
- Place kabobs on the grill, turning frequently for 5 to 10 minutes or until meat is browned and cooked through.
